Reporting to the Hardware Engineering Manager

Networking interfaces, including T1/DS3/OC3/OC12/GigE/SONET, and working with Framers and LIUs
System and chassis architecture and design, including redundancy, power and cooling
Knowledge of uTCA or ATCA is a plus
Microprocessor, Network Processor, memory and FPGA design
Experience working with systems, mechanicals and compliance (safety, emission, immunity and NEBS)
Board bring-up and debug

NEW POSITION - Senior Process Engineer - Raleigh, NC Area

The Senior Process Engineer will provide design solutions and analyze current warehouse operations, recommend improvement based on analyses, and implement recommendations in areas such as warehouse design, equipment specification, storage systems and procedures and handling methods and processes. The position will be involved with Lean process analysis, both internally and with customers. The position will be responsible for Lean development with warehouse staff while establishing and maintaining related programs and a 5S compliant facility. The position will manage a small group of direct reports to help the facility meet the required objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct process and procedure analysis to identify areas for time and cost savings. Develop baselines and track over-all savings.
• Analyze appropriateness of current technology and make equipment recommendations
• Develop process flow analyses to capture current operations and identify process improvements
• Conduct manpower studies to identify true staffing needs
• Consult on continuous process improvement for specific functions
• Review storage utilization and suggest re-layouts
• Review labor performance, reporting methods, systems and procedures
• Produce and maintain CAD layouts to allow for a detailed engineering analysis
• Analysis of programs such as national forklift safety training, quality training, rolling stock maintenance program and HAZMAT to assure compliance and consistencies among all facilities

Qualifications:
• B.S. Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics Engineering or a related discipline required

Skills/Experience:
• Experience with Facility Design (AutoCad computerized facility design & layout), work methods and resource requirements planning
• A minimum of 5 yrs. relevant work experience (logistics engineering, industrial engineering, etc.
• Experience with Industry accepted Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or LEAN program methodologies highly preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office suite, Visio, and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of work measurement methodologies and tools
• Process flows
• Excellent written/oral communication skills and analytical skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Understanding of warehouse management systems

NEW POSITION - Production Control Coordinator - Raleigh, NC Area

Summary:
This position is responsible for production control processes of production posting to SAP for all reported production from formulators, preparing production campaign manuals for formulators, coordinating / assessing campaign “readiness” and audits of production invoices versus reported production. The position also develops and facilitates processes between the MANA inventory team and formulators to insure necessary inventory control of bulk storage, re-work and sub-assemblies / intermediates. The position provides project and backup support for the production manager and production supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

· Works closely with production / formulation facilities (3rd party tollers) regarding accurate and timely production reporting. Responsible for posting all such production into SAP Business One.

· Drives process improvements around production posting process, both internally and with formulators.

· Using input from Production Manager and Production Supervisor, prepares / maintains accurate production manuals for all production campaigns – including production specs, product quality specs, packaging specs, production schedule and any other special communications / requirements.

· Communicates / coordinates with Purchasing team and Planning team to insure all technical, raw materials, packaging and label components will be ready and available at the production facility with necessary lead time to insure successful / timely production start up.

· Coordinate material transfers physically and in SAP (tech, raw materials, packaging) as necessary to insure production readiness – specifically transfers from local warehouses to formulators.

· Liaison between production facilities and MANA to insure adequate bulk storage is available, monitor and internal reporting of bulk inventory levels and support inventory team in bulk related inventory reconciliation.

· Audit all production invoices from formulators to insure accuracy versus received production reports. Resolve any discrepancies with formulators as necessary.

· Develop a process for proper inventory consumption and production tracking when re-work of product is required. Coordinate associated communications to inventory team and other internal stakeholders.

· Develop a process for proper inventory and production tracking when sub-assemblies or intermediates are generated and held during production campaigns. Coordinate associated communications to inventory team and other internal stakeholders.

· Supports Production Manager in working on cost savings projects in the production process as assigned.

· Develops and maintains production records and prepares management reports as required and or requested.

· Exhibits functional and visionary leadership. Displays confidence in self and others in performing key essentials of this job position.

Agricultural Chemical Industry.

Language Ability:

Ability to read professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and customers.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as production volumes, order quantities, container volumes, area, circumference, proportions, percentages, interest and
