NEW POSITION - Human
Resources Manager -
South Hadley, MA Area
Summary:
The primary
responsibilities of this
position are to
coordinate the entire
employment and payroll
functions, including
human resource
administration, labor
relations, coordination
and administration of
the benefits programs,
company policies and
procedures, recruiting,
designing and
implementing training
programs, and processing
of new hires and
terminations. This
position will also serve
as a primary source of
information for
employees and management
who have questions
regarding any human
resource process.
Responsibilities:
Development,
implement, and
enforcement Human
Resource policies and
procedures as well as
general human resource
processes to include the
hiring, disciplinary
action, termination,
substance abuse,
inappropriate use of
company credit cards,
site
telecommunications/internet,
harassment, and
compensation aspects.
Serve the site as the
Chief Labor Negotiator.
Labor Relations
Representative for union
processes and procedures
including facilitating
grievances.
Manage the HR and
Payroll staff.
Serve the site as the
Substance Abuse
Coordinator.
Work with and
participate in the Site
Management Team and
consult with them on
organization
development, strategic
planning, team
development,
compensation systems,
regulatory compliance
systems, staffing,
managing employee
relations, consultation
/coaching on leadership
development,
organization strategy
and legal issues.
Represent the company
on employment
discrimination charges (MCAD)
and support companys
positions on
arbitrations.
▪ Manage the recruiting
process for all
positions.
▪ Maintain and enforce
the Employee Handbook.
▪ Assist management
through the performance
review process.
Requirements:
Ability to handle and
maintain highly
confidential information
in an appropriate manner
Excellent problem
solving skills are
required to handle
unexpected situations in
a timely and appropriate
manner.
Excellent verbal and
written communication
skills.
The ability to work
with all levels of staff
throughout the
organization.
A strong knowledge
base of federal and
state labor and
employment laws.
Ability to multitask.
Educational:
Masters Degree in
Human Resources or
related field
Minimum of 10 years
Human Resources
Generalist experience
with increasing
responsibility
Labor Relations
experience mandatory
Prior contract
negotiations preferred
Prior experience in
management required
Must be able to read,
write and speak fluent
English; bilingual
(Spanish) a plus
