Responsibilities:
• Prepare quarterly and
annual income tax
provision in accordance
with FAS 109 and related
financial statement
disclosures for federal,
state and international
jurisdictions;
• SOX 404 documentation
and review;
• Worldwide tax rate
forecasting and
management under the
supervision of Director
of Taxes;
• Identify, research,
and evaluate tax issues
in the federal, state,
and international tax
arena;
• Assist with special
projects including
federal, state, and
international tax
planning
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 years FAS 109
experience with a public
company and/or public
accounting experience
with a Big 4 or similar
accounting firm;
• Experience with tax
provision work for
multi-national companies
a plus
• 3-5 years experience
in tax return
preparation
• Strong accounting
skills - BS Accounting
required (CPA a plus)
• Strong general tax
knowledge of U.S. and
state tax law (MST a
plus, some international
experience a plus.)
• Strong research,
analytical and
communication skills
(written and verbal);
• Solid interpersonal
skills - able to
interact in a team
environment within the
tax and finance
organizations and with
outside advisors and
auditors;
• Software – knowledge
of TaxStream, and SAP a
plus;

CT-Westport-Tax Manager
International Tax
Manager
Overview:
The International Tax
Manager will be
primarily responsible
for the following:
-
Report to Senior
International Tax
Manager and manage
all aspects of US
international
taxation of
Corporation and its
subsidiaries.
-
Provide a wide range
of tax planning
strategies with
regard to
international issues
and operations in
order to minimize
the corporation's
effective tax rate.
-
Manage U.S.
international tax
compliance and
provide support for
international
aspects of US GAAP
income tax
accounting.
Responsibilities:
-
Develop and
implement
tax-planning
solutions to reduce
global tax burden.
-
Conduct and
coordinate in-depth
tax research on
significant US
international
issues.
-
Manage CFC issues
- Track E&P
and creditable foreign
taxes
- Develop
tax-effective cash
repatriation strategies.
- Monitor
Subpart F exposures
-
Coordinate
monthly/quarterly/annual
reporting of U.S.
international tax
items (Subpart F
income, foreign tax
credits, allocation
of expenses, etc.)
and provide input to
tax provision
process, including
FIN 48 analysis.
-
Coordinate and
oversee US
international tax
compliance (Forms
1118, 5471, 8858,
etc.; preparation by
staff and/or outside
providers).
-
Provide support to
regional Tax
Managers and foreign
subsidiaries'
accounting staffs in
calculating and
reporting the
subsidiaries' tax
provisions,
including deferred
taxes.
-
Work with Transfer
Pricing Manager to
implement Global
Transfer Pricing
Policy and
development of
transfer pricing
documentation.

Support the tax
planning of
acquisitions and
dispositions.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have:
-
BA/BS (Accounting or
Finance is preferred
but not necessary);
CPA, law degree or
other advanced
degree desirable.
-
At least six years
of international tax
experience in a
multinational
corporation,
accounting firm or
law firm.
-
Excellent written
communication
skills, strong
organizational
skills, and the
ability to work
independently.
-
Ability and
willingness to
travel
internationally
(estimated 10 -
20%).
In addition, it is highly
desirable that Candidate
have:
-
Experience in or
with multination
corporations and at
least a general
understanding of
corporate tax and
financial reporting
processes and
administration.

Foreign language
skills would be
helpful but are not
necessary.
Additional Information
Salary:
$130,000.00 to $150,000.00
per year
